This is a family fun and resource fair which takes place at Parkside Middle School in Wautoma the first Saturday in April during Child Abuse Prevention Month. Blue Ribbon Kid’s Day attracts nearly 1,000 parents, grandparents and children who learn and practice safety skills, discover area resources and enjoy a morning of free family focused fun. It is the largest free family event offered in Waushara County. The event is a past Beyond the Blue Ribbon Award recipient, and has been recognized by the Children’s Trust Fund, Child Abuse Prevention Fund and Prevent Child Abuse Wisconsin. Our Kiwanis Club oversees the registration process throughout the building when families arrive. One of our charter members, the late Mary Wudtke, was instrumental in helping to organize this unique event back in 1995.
